Building on this foundation, I pursued a Software Engineering diploma at BrainStation, where I gained expertise in full-stack development. The program equipped me with hands-on experience in JavaScript, Node.js, React, and TypeScript . During this time, I independently expanded my knowledge by learning popular libraries and programming languages, continuously staying updated with industry trends.

My academic background in IT and software engineering has empowered me to deliver innovative solutions across various platforms, from web development to VR experiences, including Oculus. My education has cultivated a strong understanding of both the technical and user-centric aspects of software development, allowing me to design and implement cutting-edge applications.

As a software engineer, I am proficient across the entire development lifecycle, from crafting sleek front-end interfaces to building scalable back-end systems. I work primarily with JavaScript and TypeScript, leveraging these powerful languages to build dynamic and interactive applications. My focus is on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that delivers exceptional user experiences.

On the front-end, React is my go-to framework. It allows me to create fast, component-based user interfaces that are highly interactive and scalable. Coupled with Next.js, I take advantage of server-side rendering and static site generation to improve both performance and SEO, especially for content-heavy applications.

For back-end development, I rely on Node.js and Express to build robust APIs and server-side logic. Whether it's creating RESTful APIs or managing complex data flows, I ensure that the back-end is optimized for performance and security. I also have experience with both relational databases like MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, allowing me to choose the best data solution based on the project's requirements.

In addition to web development, I enjoy working with Unity and C# for creating immersive experiences in virtual reality. This blend of web and VR development allows me to push the boundaries of interaction and accessibility.

I’m passionate about staying at the forefront of technology, constantly learning new tools and frameworks to improve my work. My expertise extends to CSS3, Sass, and WordPress, ensuring that I can deliver beautiful, responsive designs alongside the technical backbone of any project.

I embarked on a new chapter of exploration when I moved to Canada in 2022, starting my journey at Carleton University. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant and Junior Researcher, which allowed me to foster student engagement and lead various technical projects.

As a Teaching Assistant from January 2022 to December 2023, I facilitated student learning by leading workshops on Unity fundamentals, focusing on the development of immersive 3D experiences. I also conducted bi-weekly one-on-one project reviews, providing technical guidance and support, which honed my ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.

In parallel, I worked as the Lead Programmer and Researcher for a pioneering project—the ASL Recognition System for Oculus Quest 2. From January 2023 to April 2024, I played a key role in developing a gesture recognition system aimed at making American Sign Language (ASL) more accessible through virtual reality. By designing and implementing a robust Unity and C# solution, I enhanced user engagement with an intuitive VR tutorial interface, ensuring that the project advanced both accessibility and technological innovation.

Currently, I work as a freelancer, delivering customized web applications tailored to my clients’ specific needs. My expertise spans multiple domains, including virtual reality, machine learning, and full-stack web development. As a violinist with the Ottawa Pops Orchestra, I have the privilege of performing on stage with talented musicians, dancers, and conductors. Performing in a live orchestra not only improves my focus and discipline, but also fosters a sense of community and artistic expression.

In addition to music, I love sports, both as a participant and a fan. Whether it’s fitness, rock climbing, or outdoor activities like hiking and swimming, I enjoy the mental and physical challenges that sports bring. These activities help me stay energized.

Baking is another creative outlet for me. I love trying new recipes, perfecting my techniques, and sharing delicious meals with friends and family. Like programming, baking requires precision, creativity, and attention to detail—qualities that I excel in. For me, spices are like functions, and the process of using them to transform simple ingredients into delicious dishes is a rewarding experience.
